DAY ONE Pull up this spreadsheet that I have created for you to use during our career exploration unit and save a copy of it in your folder on the network (NOTE: you will need to "Enable Editing" to use it)
1. VIDEO NOTES: Watch the career video that will be located in my folder and take notes on the "NOTES" sheet of the spreadsheet
2. INTEREST INVENTORY: Read the 53 attributes on the "INTERESTS" sheet of your spreadsheet. Delete the row of the attributes that do NOT describe you until you only have 20-30 left that most describe you
3. Sort your remaining choices and create a frequency chart of the results. Total your numbers to make sure you counted correctly. Use the following words to replace the letters for your labels in the chart:
C = CREATIVE
D = DOER
H = HELPER
O = ORGANIZER
P = PERSUADER
T = THINKER
4. Create a pie graph of your results. Use the layout that will place the labels in the pieces and also show the percentages (layout one). You may add pictures if you wish.
5. Go to "Drive of Your Life" At this site you will answer questions about what you like and end up with career options that match your personality style. Do this right as you will use the information obtained from this site to create a presentation about a career of your choice.
6. Make a picture of your license you received (use the snip-it tool) and save it in your folder called "Career License"
7. Create a word document saved in your folder called "My Career". Write a paragraph telling me what career you would like to investigate and why. Tell me how your personality matches that career, etc.
Then go to The Career Zone.and search for your career. Research for information to add to your worksheets:

Go to the MISD High School Course Bookand list courses you can take in high school that relate to your career

How much money might you make?
Where will you live?
What will your day be like?
